Giampaolo Nanula is a professional tour guide for the region of Apulia, also known as Puglia. One hundred per cent Pugliese, he was born in 1970 in Barletta, but for the last several years has made Puglia's capital, Bari, his base. Giampaolo has travelled extensively, especially throughout his home region, searching long and hard for ancient treasures and new itineraries to reveal to the region's visitors.

Giampaolo Profile
Born in Barletta in 1970, as a kid Giampaolo devoured history books and at age 11 read the complete series of Indro Montanelli's "History of Italy", a whole 20 volumes. Giampaolo graduated from university with a degree in Political Science with a heavy history slant and it was indeed history that turned out to be his big passion. After completing specific courses to become a tour guide, Giampaolo decided to branch out on his own into the travel profession. His years of experience and study have developed a personable, entertaining and thoroughly involving approach as guide.
