From the convent cloister, founded by St Francis of Assisi, this 4-star accommodation's cells have been converted into a series of delicious rooms, while the convent watchtower stands guard over the embracing Mediterranean sea below.

Originally built in 1222, Hotel Luna Convento was converted into a hotel in 1821. Its Saracen tower features a luxurious suite that has hosted past and present stars from Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, to Anna Magnani and Roberto Rossellini, Gore Vidal and Mussolini, to name but a few.
