In fact, the family’s name can be traced back to the mid-19th century when the last member of the Anastasios adopted a Porporas family member from Conca, hence the name now bound to the renowned Villa. This hotel still retains all of its fascination and allure, set in a haven of natural beauty along one of the most enchanting landscapes of the Amalfi coast. Today the Villa's interiors consist of the elegant quarters of the last abode of the Porpora Anastasio family members, once also proprietors of fine vineyards, parkwoods, country houses and mansions from the town of Amalfi to Conca dei Marini and beyond, as far away as Scala and Naples.
